The Superior Double or Twin Room in Thracian Residence Starosel caught my eye with its vibrant traditional Bulgarian decor. I enjoyed the great view from the spacious terrace, which set a lovely scene for relaxation. The spa area included impressive amenities, like multiple pools, though many were not thermal as advertised. I appreciated the separate thermal pools in the older hotel—these were a highlight of my stay and offered a truly refreshing experience. Food selections at the buffet were delightful and high-quality, although I found the extra charges for drinks, including water, puzzling during meal times. Service at dinner was noticeably slow. it took a while to get attention from the staff. Some staff members seemed overwhelmed or indifferent at peak times. Overall, the amenities were excellent, and the wine selection was top-notch. However, I’d recommend the hotel reevaluate their pricing strategy and staff training during busy periods.
